Francisco Alberto Asencio Marcos

For Francis Asencio, life means travel. This multifaceted teacher and freelance journalist and translator has invested his last 10 years teaching Spanish to kindergarten and primary students in countries such as Canada, Switzerland and presently in Thailand.

He loves to gather his students around the bonfire and make them dream, travel and learn through the stories that he borrows from other authors and the ones that he writes by himself for his students. Translating and writing stories for kids is his way to say thanks to the writers that were part of his childhood.

He firmly believes that stories have been an important educational tool in every society and civilization in history, not just as entertainment but as a way of conveying values, history and traditions.
